Hospitality and Racing Deputy Secretary Tarek Barakat emphasised the forum's goal to support the hospitality industry in creating safer venues. Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) considers certain alcoholic versions of soft-drinks and liquor products which reference confectionary and dessert products to be a high risk of being attractive to minors. L&GNSW has determined several ready-to-drink liquor products to be ‘undesirable’ under the Liquor Act 2007 (the Act) due to their likely appeal to minors. An agreement has been reached with two Australian beverage manufacturers to cease supply of products to NSW, and NSW retailers have been asked to remove the products and any associated promotional material from their stores. Find out more about the affected products and guidelines on our website.
Annual Liquor Licence Fee (ALLF) notices were sent by email and SMS in late March and early June and the due date for payment was 29 May 2024. If still unpaid, payment must be received by 26 June 2024, or your licence will be suspended and a late fee applied. It is important to note that payment can only be made using the details on the ALLF fee notice. Please allow three working days for funds to be received if making your payment via BPAY. Copies of fee notices can be requested by contacting SNSW on 13 77 88.
Additional information on the ALLF program can be found here.

The NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority (ILGA) launched its new website this month. While we continue to work in close association with ILGA, the new site reflects its independence from Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&G NSW). The website is designed to be easy to navigate and helps users quickly find what they are looking for. Decisions which L&G NSW makes on behalf of ILGA will continue to appear on the L&G NSW website.
